Join Bitty and Beau's and Linton McClain of Superior Body Sculpting as we kick off our monthly "Fitness in the Park" series to get our communities moving again. No experience required. Everyone is welcome. Exercises will be fun and engaging for all ages and fitness levels. Put this event on your calendar and we look forward to you joining our movement for a healthier Jacksonville.

Yoga in the Park with the San Marco Preservation Society

Hot Spot Power Yoga has partnered with the San Marco Preservation Society to offer FREE yoga to our amazing community!
Our first class will be Saturday, September 23rd at 9am in Balis Park. The class will be all-levels outdoors in the park. Plan to bring a yoga mat, water and anything else you need for a workout!
This will be an inspiring practice for new yoga practitioners and experienced yogis. Come enjoy the beauty of our neighborhood!

The Wine and Chocolate 5K is a awesome run through historic San Marco to raise funds for the continued beautification of the San Marco Square. After the run stick around and enjoy the wine and chocolate party. There will be red and white wine plus bubbly to chose from. There will also be lots of chocolate treats from Peterbrooke.
After the run we will celebrate with wine and chocolate. Each legal age participate will be entitled to two wine pours, but you mush have your race bib. Lots of chocolate will be available. All wine must stay inside San Marco Square.

30th Annual Festival of Lights 5K

The 30th Annual Festival of Lights 5K is a unique fundraising event that benefits the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Jacksonville. The streets of beautiful San Marco will be lit up as thousands of runners, walkers and strollers take off during this nighttime, winter race. The evening includes a 1-mile fun run and a 5K race for families and individuals of all ages and abilities. Proceeds from this event benefit the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program which supports UF Health Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Register today to help change kids’ health so we can change the future.

Our sixty minute show, Everything's A Circle, the first original play in Theatre Jacksonville’s Theatre for Babies program, is a theatrical performance designed specifically for parents and caregivers with babies between the ages of 3 and 12 months. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to take off their shoes, sit on the floor, relax and observe as the littlest play-goers experience everyday household objects transform into fabulous, theatrical wonders! Everything's A Circle is a theatrical performance for babies, but it is also a demonstration for parents and caregivers of ways in which everyday household objects can become tools to help engage, stimulate and connect with babies while in their earliest stages of development.

Join the San Marco Preservation Society and the San Marco Bookstore for the monthly Story Time in the Square, taking place on the first Saturday of each month from 10-11 A.M. in Balis Park.

This is the 26th Art Festival in San Marco. Around 30 artists will pitch their tents in Balis Park for this two-day free Art Festival in the middle of historic San Marco Square. For this event traffic is not blocked off around San Marco Square and free parking is plentiful so our patrons can come and go freely. The art for this festival is carefully selected and includes paintings, sculpture, woodwork, glasswork, and hand-made jewelry by local and regional Florida artists.

Annual Light Boat Parade | A fleet of decorated boats will illuminate the river beginning at 6:30 PM as they travel along the Northbank and Southbank.
Fireworks Finale | Sponsored by Bank of America, featuring the signature “waterfall” effect off the Main Street and Acosta bridges. Fireworks begin at approximately 8:00 PM after the boat parade ends.

This is the 26th Art Festival in San Marco. Around 30 artists will pitch their tents in Balis Park for this two-day free Art Festival in the middle of historic San Marco Square. For this event traffic is not blocked off around San Marco Square and free parking is plentiful so our patrons can come and go freely. The art for this festival is carefully selected and includes paintings, sculpture, woodwork, glasswork, and hand-made jewelry by local and regional Florida artists.

Come join us on this glorious day full of connection and gratitude! 22 years ago, the first Yoga Den started the tradition of gathering to practice both Hatha and Karma yoga, rolling out the mat while raising money for those in need. This year, with multiple locations participating, and a variety of styles being offered (not everyone wants to start the day with heated power yoga) we hope to unite and have an impact as we fundraise Every Pet shelter!
Yoga Den San Marco will be chilling it out with Mind Body class. Doors open at 7am, raffle starts at 7:30am! Ticket price includes the practice, raffle ticket, event T-shirt, and donation to Every Pet. Upon registration, please send your T-shirt size and style preference to sanmarco@yoga-den.com. November 20th is the cut off to choose your style/size. Want to donate but can't make the practice? Their new apartment is her most recent find – too expensive with bad plumbing and in need of a paint job. After a quick honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker with their neighbor-in-the-attic, Velasco, at a dinner where everything that can go wrong does. Paul just doesn’t understand Corie, as she sees it. He’s too staid, too boring, and she just wants him to be a little more spontaneous. Running “barefoot in the park” would be a start…

Join Bitty and Beau's and Linton McClain of Superior Body Sculpting as we kick off our monthly "Fitness in the Park" series to get our communities moving again. No experience required. Everyone is welcome. Exercises will be fun and engaging for all ages and fitness levels. Put this event on your calendar and we look forward to you joining our movement for a healthier Jacksonville.

Nemours Children's Health Run & Walk

This family-friendly event includes a 5K and a One-Mile Fun Run kicking off at the Nemours Children’s Health clinic in downtown Jacksonville. The course will take runners, walkers, and wheelchair athletes through a scenic route along the St. Johns River and the beautiful neighborhoods of San Marco. All participants receive a commemorative race shirt and finisher’s medal. Activities include a live DJ and music, a Runner’s Village with sponsor booths, food vendors and giveaways, a Kid Zone with games, mascots, photo ops and fun for all ages! Proceeds from the event will support the Nemours Children's Health, Jacksonville Compassionate Care Fund, which restores the health of critically ill and injured children wherever the need is greatest.
